Bonnie Lewis, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-15288) has been practicing therapy since 2014. Her passion is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals, couples, and families to work through pain and disconnect. She believes we all have a need to feel loved and a sense of belonging. When those needs are not met in our relationships, we feel pain, panic, and disoriented. By coming alongside you, she desires to help you discover your inherent value and true authentic self. Her hope is to empower men and women to find their voice both individually and within relationships.
One of Bonnie’s passions is teaching and mentorship. As an approved Supervisor with the AZBBHE and Clinical Director at Therapy with Heart, she has enjoyed providing supervision to practicing professionals in their journey towards obtaining their license. Bonnie has also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant, Adjunct Professor, and currently as a Group Supervisor at Fuller Theological Seminary for the Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Program. She enjoys facilitating couples workshops like Hold Me Tight and Created for Connections for the community to help couples remove stumbling blocks to vulnerability to then be able to go deeper in their connection, resulting in their relationship being a source of healing. She was the Director of Training for AZEFT Board and is actively involved in the EFT Community.
When not working, Bonnie enjoys being with her husband and two daughters. She values her family, time outdoors, reading, traveling, being active, and connecting with her community.
She is a Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT) and has completed extensive training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She has also completed trainings in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Attachment-based Intervention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mending the Soul, Infidelity and Pornography, Mindfulness Awareness of Attachment, Sex Therapy and Advanced Trauma Therapy. Bonnie earned her Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary. She is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), the Arizona Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AZAMFT), the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and the Arizona Community of Emotionally Focused Therapists (AZEFT).
