About Michael

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-22969) and a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist (EFCT), I view people in relationship with others, embodying a shared ecosystem to de-pathologize mental health challenges. I work with both adult individuals and couples in a holistic way, honoring emotions, body, mind, and spirit—as equally-important aspects of your way of being, seeing, and experiencing the world. I have a particular passion for integrating spirituality, mindful presence, and compassion in service of deeper healing.

In addition to Emotion-Focused Therapy, I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy to view people as a collection of ‘parts’ that carry unique roles, experiences, fears, and emotional pain that may be longing to be seen. Through this lens, we can work together to connect with what hurts inside to help you find a path to heal.

For some individual clients, I provide Brainspotting (BSP), a mind-body approach, to re-process dysregulation in the nervous system. This approach, along with my training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), can be a flexible alternative to traditional talk therapy. For clients who have obsessive-compulsive challenges, I am also trained to use Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) as a recommended first-line approach.

Above all else, I want to create a collaborative and supportive space to help you re-connect with yourself, your body, your emotions, your purpose, your longings, and the people in your life who matter to you.
