Samuel Kang is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT-7634T). He graduated from Fuller School of Psychology with a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy degree. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University. Samuel is currently under the supervision of Bonnie Lewis (LMFT- 15288)
Samuel’s experience in working people in social and professional settings brought about a deeper awareness of the hurt and wounds that most people including himself carry in their lives. In recognizing the hurt, he desired to provide care for those who were suffering from their wounds. He firmly believes that everyone experiences trauma by some degree and it affects how they perceive the world around them. He deeply desires to meet individuals, couples, and families wherever they are to provide the support and help needed to address the hurts and help them move forward.
Samuel knew Marriage and Family Therapy was the perfect fit for him because he believes that the change people often desire in their lives begins from unravelling the relationships and experiences in the past that often account for relationships within families. Therefore, the imperative need to examine details beyond oneself is the essence of Marriage and Family Therapy and fundamentally aligns with Samuel’s beliefs.
