Meet Nick Puchalski,

LMFT and Certified EFT Therapist

Nick Puchalski is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-15340) and Certified EFT Therapist.  Through warmth, care, and integrity, Nick helps to heal the wounds and hurts that can accumulate in life and relationships. Similar to physical wounds that can hurt and leave scars, we can have emotional and relational wounds that can be equally painful. However, Nick believes that we all have the amazing ability as humans to not only endure, but to mend and heal from our pain. He is passionate about helping and guiding those who are on their own unique journey to healing and wholeness.

Specializes in: Couples, Adolescents/families, Trauma

Nick’s professional experiences include working with abuse and trauma, substance abuse and addiction, helping adolescents and their families, and a specialty in couples of all types. He currently focuses on working with couples (dating, pre-marital, married) on various issues including:

Trouble connecting and communicating
Sex and intimacy
Relationship with partner in medical field or helping profession
Marriage preparation
Phase of life stress

He also provides therapy to teen and adult individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, relationship conflict, unwanted behaviors, and other areas of concern.

Nick has completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and is a Certified EFT Therapist. EFT is his primary approach for couples and most individuals. He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which has been proven 70% effective in healing trauma. Nick also introduces mindfulness into his practice to help clients cope with distress. Nick completed his Master of Arts in Marital and Family Therapy at Saint Mary’s University-Twin Cities in Minneapolis, MN. He is a member of the Arizona Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the Arizona Community of Emotionally Focused Therapists (AZEFT).

“Love is the universal salve for all wounds. It is the foundation from which healing and connection can occur”
