As an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Melanie’s passion is in helping couples, individuals, and teens find their voice. She believes that all people are wanting and able to create safe, secure, and honest relationships with those closest to them. Talking about sex and intimacy can be challenging, but Melanie believes that effective, reconnecting communication is possible and she is able to guide couples through this often challenging area in their relationship. Her goal as a therapist is to help others develop and strengthen the bonds between couples and families that will lead to a path of open, honest conversations that allow deep growth and intimacy. Melanie’s approach is collaborative in hopes of helping her clients succeed in the best way for them.
Melanie is well-versed in working with individuals, couples, youth, and families. Melanie’s areas of interest include: premarital, parenting, marriage enrichment, sex therapy, LBGTQ, communication issues, co-parenting, and substance abuse.
Melanie is training in Emotionally Focused Therapy and works from this model in her couples’ therapy. She works with couples to help identify their negative cycles and create new conversations and deeper connections.
