Ellie Bautista (she/her) is currently completing her Masters of Advanced Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy at Arizona State University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University in North Carolina. She is joining Therapy With Heart as a student intern under the supervision of Rachel Thomas, LMFT (AZMFT #10257)
Ellie is a board-certified music therapist with years of experience serving a wide range of populations–from older adults to school-aged children–in a number of different settings. She is certified as a Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider for those who have experienced traumatic loss, and has received training in working with children and adolescents who have experienced loss.
For the past three-and-a-half years, Ellie has worked as a hospice music therapist where her professional experience was further refined walking alongside patients and their families as they navigate their end of life journey. In this role, she has regularly provided emotional support to individuals and their families during some of the most challenging and consequential life stages.
Ellie employs Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to meet clients where they are in any range of emotional or life circumstances. Ellie’s role at Therapy With Heart specializes in the areas of couples/relationships, navigating life changes, chronic or terminal illness, grief, and loss while acknowledging and honoring the intersectionality of each person. With an emphasis on openness and anti-oppressive practice, Ellie aspires to join alongside others as they navigate their own personal and relational journeys.
