Athen Fisher is a Certified EFT Therapist and has a passion for helping others create and strengthen meaningful relationships in their lives, helping couples and family members to become closer and more connected to one another. She enjoys working with couples, individuals and families and helping them identify and change negative relationship patterns that lead to hurt and disconnection and then creating healthy and secure ones. Healing and change happen through relationships when we feel secure and loved and can show the truest parts of ourselves to those we love and receive a secure response. Athen strives to help couples and families develop and strengthen those bonds and create positive interactions. As your therapist, her goal is to provide you with a safe, secure, non-judgmental atmosphere, leading you down the path of open, honest conversations with yourself or partner so that the growth and intimacy you seek can occur.
As a mother of two, Athen loves working with couples who are on the journey of parenthood– she believes with parenthood comes an enormous amount of joy and love, but also sometimes loneliness, anxiety, stress and relationship problems come as well. Partnering with and supporting mothers and fathers as a couple and parenting unit will have a positive impact for generations.
Athen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT- 15157) and graduated from Arizona State University with an undergraduate degree in psychology and master’s in marriage and family therapy.
